Hello! I am a current MBA candidate at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. I offer a fresh perspective on the MBA application process – I recently underwent the MBA application journey and found success with multiple M7 acceptances while coming from a traditional, overrepresented applicant background. Regardless of an applicant’s hard stats, a successful MBA application requires a compelling story, powerful essays, and a polished resume, crafted via rigorous introspection of one’s experiences, strengths, and gaps. I have in depth experience in coaching and mentoring, specifically in the MBA admissions space. I've gone through the process myself with huge success, I've coached prospective students through private coaching, as part of corporate coaching programs, and in support of the HBS admissions process. The reason I think I stand out and have found success as a coach is because I work hard to gain a true understanding of the applicant; to understand their motivations, values, drivers, strengths, and weaknesses. All of that is critical to craft a strong application for elite schools, but maybe more importantly it is critical to provide you the best support that I can. I come from a tech background with degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering and work experience at a large tech company and building a startup. I initially struggled to complete a strong application since I viewed my background as too technical and found it difficult to split my time between a demanding job, prepping for the GMAT, and writing multiple essays. After overcoming these challenges the hard way and earning acceptance to the schools I applied; I'd like to help clients up their best application forward and gain admission to their dream programs.

Despite being from an overrepresented demographic, I managed to get accepted into all three programs that I applied for (INSEAD, Oxford, and Berkeley). Additionally, I had major financial and time constraints because I already had 2 children (at the age of 28!) before applying to business school. I'm not a naturally good test-taker so I had to be both efficient and creative to pull this off. I was able to get into these programs because I'm strategic, resourceful, and know how to craft a story with the audience in mind. I have a lot of experience teaching/training and am excited to help you craft your story and demonstrate to admission committees that you are unique and that you have a lot of value to add to their programs.
