I've navigated legal roles in several sectors, most notably at top big law firms. I successfully recruited across 4 major metro markets across a gambit of big law firms and have unique insight into managing the application process beyond the schools career services. The calculus for where you end up is unique for each individual and I genuinely believe each person needs to take a step back and figure out where is the right fit for them, which can be incredibly hard to do while at the law school environment with so many external factors weighing.

Going into law school, I had the passion for defending indigent clients but didn't know the first thing about preparing for interviews--I bombed my internship interviews that first summer! Fortunately, that experience--plus interviewing for an additional rounds of summer internships and ultimately landing my dream job in my current role--taught me the skills to not only excel as a public defender, but also help others achieve their public interest dreams.
