  • How does Leland vet coaches on the platform?

    Leland has an incredibly strong quality bar for the coaches we accept on the platform. In fact, less than 5% of people who apply to become a coach make it through our application process. Of course, we aim to build a diverse coaching base with a range of experience so that we can serve clients with various budgets.

  • What will I work on with my coach?

    Coaching is meant to be flexible and tailored to your unique situation and goals. It's best to coordinate with your coach directly and they can help build out a coaching plan based on what you are trying to accomplish.

  • How many people has Leland helped?

    Leland has helped thousands of customers from across the globe with dozens of unique backgrounds, budgets, and goals.

  • I'm applying from overseas. What countries do you support?

    We welcome customers from all across the world to use Leland! If you have any issues making international payments, please submit a support request.

  • Do you guarantee success?

    Achieving specific career goals, test scores, or admission to top schools involves factors beyond our, your, and/or your coach’s control. While working with a coach greatly increases your chances of success, we cannot guarantee your desired outcome. We do not provide refunds based on results or outcomes.   • Are payment plans available?

    Yes! They are available at checkout for certain purchases. Note that split payments have a 3% fee associated with them.

  • What is the Leland Experience Guarantee?

  • I bought a comprehensive package, for how long am I eligible to redeem those services?

    Every package comes with a different hourly range and expiration term. When considering a package, make sure to review the package page in detail and ask the coach any clarifying questions.

Coaches

  • How do I apply to be a coach?

    You can apply through our coach page with a few easy steps—including sharing some details about your background, adding your coaching categories, and creating a quick video. We’re excited to get to know you!

  • What are the qualifications required to be a coach on Leland?

    Leland coaches come from the most elite companies and schools in the world. If you have successfully navigated an application process, landed a competitive role, or excelled in your career (and helped others do the same), we invite you to apply. Note that you don’t need to be a full-time coach to coach on Leland. Many of our most successful coaches do this while working a full-time job or attending school.   • When will I get paid for the coaching I do through Leland?

    Coaches are paid differently based on the type of coaching they offer through the platform. For hourly orders or packages with a concrete number of hours, coaches are paid as they mark coaching time as complete in their dashboard. For packages without a concrete number of hours, coaches are paid half upfront, half at the completion of the package. We release payouts for coaches on the 1st and the 15th of every month. Typically, it takes 2-3 days for payments to hit coach bank accounts.
