As a former Associate Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School, I have read thousands of applications front to back, and have a deep understanding of what top law schools are looking for. It is more than just trying to 'stand out' from the crowd. You will need to craft a highly compelling story so that you convince the admissions committee that you have amazing potential as a law student, AND you will make a valuable contribution. I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. I have expertise developing individualized time lines, school lists, letters of recommendation, resumes, essays (required and optional), character and fitness paragraphs, managing waitlists and even negotiating financial aid awards. Growing up as the son of two attorneys, the legal field is something that I have always had exposure to. Whether it was sitting in on mom's client meetings or hearing my dad's law school stories, I felt immersed in various aspects of the legal profession. As a result of their experiences, I have gained immense insight into not only the applicant perspective of law school admissions but also the real-world components that attorneys and admissions seek out in incoming candidates for their programs. In the 2024-2025 law school admissions cycle, I was admitted to 10 law schools, with 9 being a part of the T14 (Harvard, UChicago, and UPenn just to name a few!). Through my experiences of applying to schools and connecting with admissions officers across the country, I have a deeper understanding of key aspects to intertwine into your law school application. I am committed to helping law school become a more accessible option for individuals who feel that it is not attainable which is exactly why I want to help you achieve your dreams!

I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

With my unique background in both law and business, I bring a comprehensive perspective to help aspiring law students navigate the admissions process. Although I am new to formal/paid coaching, I have consulted with dozens of candidates on the application process. Personally, I was accepted to a majority of the T-14 law schools (including a significant merit-based scholarship at UPenn) and currently hold a 3.9 GPA in the law school classroom. Bill De La Rosa serves as Co-Chair of Humanity in Action’s American Planning Board and is a legal intern for the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. Before his legal and doctoral studies at Yale Law School and the University of Oxford, he worked for the Pima County Administrator’s Office, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Center for Law and Social Policy, the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project, and a member of the U.S. Congress. Raised in South Tucson, Arizona, Bill holds a B.A. Phi Beta Kappa in Latin American Studies and Sociology with Honors from Bowdoin College, where he became a Truman Scholar, John Lewis Fellow, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s Hispanic Scholar of the Year. Bill also has an M.Sc. in Migration Studies with Merit and an M.Sc. in Criminology and Criminal Justice with Distinction from the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar and Clarendon Scholar. At Yale, he has been named a Hurst Horizon Scholar, an International Strategy Forum Fellow, and a Katzmann Fellow.

I'm a Yale University graduate and incoming student of the Stanford Law School class of 2028. I served as a Marine Corps officer in the four years after graduating Yale where I learned how to lead teams and developed discipline and mental toughness . I have extensive experience working with students to get into college and graduate programs through the nonprofit Rawan Mentorship. I will leverage my experiences in undergraduate and graduate admissions to support you throughout the application process from devising an application strategy to putting the finishing touches on your essays.

As a first generation professional, I understand how stressful navigating the law school admissions process can be for applicants. After a post-graduation public interest fellowship and some time in big law, I spent more than a decade working at two T14 law schools—the University of Chicago and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
