What is included in this package? I want to help you prepare your Human Computer Interaction (HCI) graduation school application, especially in your personal essays so that it is strong and tailored to the specific program you are applying to. If you are applying to University of Michigan - Ann Arbor School of Information (UMSI) Human Computer Interaction graduation program with a focus on User Experience Research and Design, I will be most helpful for you as a 2 time graduate from their Bachelors and Masters from UMSI in UX design. Please keep in mind, I did not apply to HCI school and I did a 5 year program within UX, but I can offer a ton of insight within HCI programs especially if it is Michigan’s program or if you are relative new to HCI and are wanting to make a pivot into this field. Here’s what we’ll cover: - Personal Essay: If you have a personal essay drafted up for your HCI application, we will review the essay, and feedback will be provided for improving your essay to be as strong as possible. - Your Specific Questions: Any questions you may have about applying to HCI school from essays to topics related to UX, I am here to help answer them. Especially, for applications applying to University of Michigan HCI graduate program, alot of insights will be provided about Michigan and specifics related to their HCI programs.

For this Human Computer Interaction Graduate School App Review Package (1 session), it will be offered either live virtual or async options. The live virtual session will be through a 1 hour session block via Zoom. Async options means that I will send an (1) email with feedback regarding your application essay. Please let me know which options you prefer in advance. The cost is the same for both! If choosing live virtual, please send me your application essay via chat or through email to: shannon11.6li@gmail.com) at least 48 hours in advance to prepare in advance before our scheduled meeting time. If choosing async, please send me your application essay.

Product design coach for design students and entry level designer
Hey there - I'm Shannon Li, and I'm a product designer with a primary focus on user experience design, with skills in adjacent design disciplines including brand and graphic design! I currently work at Nike as a Designer I based out of New York City, on their Consumer Tools team, working on enterprise tools to support brand marketing teams. I have had previous design internships at Nike, CNN, and Estée Lauder. I graduated from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor recently with my BS and MSI in UX research and design. As an entry level designer and a recent grad, I understand the challenges with navigating design and landing design internships to get your foot through the door.
