Package Description:

I'm an extremely experienced admissions essay reviewer - I've read literally thousands of admissions essays over the last decade, and am a pro at providing specific, actionable feedback on your drafts. This "rapid essay review" option is great for folks that don't need a full consulting package, but just want to get an extra set of (unbiased, third-party) eyes on their application essays. You'll share your essay draft(s) with me, ideally in Google Doc format, and I'll give them a thorough review. I'll then leave comments and suggested edits, giving you very specific feedback on what could improve about your draft(s). This option is best if you already have a strong concept of your essay theme and a decent draft, and just need some polish to take it to the next level. If you need more in-depth essay coaching to come up with a great topic in the first place, please explore my other coaching options!

As an extremely experienced admissions essay reviewer, I'm a pro at reviewing drafts and providing clear, actionable feedback. I'm also thoughtful about providing feedback that both praises the good parts of essays, without shying away from what can be better. I fully understand that sharing your writing with someone you don't know is vulnerable - I'm sensitive to that, and deliver my feedback respectfully and with an eye toward actionable next steps.

I'm an experienced admissions consultant with almost a decade of expertise navigating elite admissions - for my own admissions processes for undergrad (Harvard) and full-time MBA (incoming Stanford GSB, additional acceptances to Wharton and many others). Outside of my own admissions successes, I've been a professional admissions consultant, beginning in 2016 with my work as an early hire at CollegeVine, one of the leading (undergrad) admissions consultancies in the US. I've formally consulted with, and informally mentored, countless students across both undergrad and grad school, with many acceptances to Ivies+. Regarding MBA admissions: I navigated my own admissions process with a relatively "nontraditional" background, coming from startups and, further back, self-employment. My view on admissions is one rooted in pragmatism and genuineness; let's dispense with some of the trite advice and focus on what your background offers, the story you have to tell, and why you actually want to go to business school. (And even whether you *should* go to business school! Navigating doubt is, in my opinion, an important part of this process as well.) Beyond admissions, I'm a successful startup operator - most recently as the COO of Impactive, a YCombinator-backed political software startup.
