About Chelsea

I’m Chelsea Li, a dedicated medical student in the M.D./Ph.D. program at Stanford University, where I combine my passion for neuroscience with a commitment to compassionate patient care. With a strong academic background, including a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University of Virginia, I have been recognized with numerous awards for my research and leadership in the medical field. My experiences as a volunteer EMT/firefighter and crisis hotline specialist have deepened my understanding of the human experience in healthcare, driving my desire to bridge the gap between scientific research and clinical practice. During my own application cycle, I received 20+ interviews and was accepted to 7+ programs and would love to share the knowledge I have gained through that process. I aim to empower aspiring medical students by providing them with the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to navigate the complexities of medical education and succeed in their journeys to becoming compassionate healthcare professionals.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I am deeply passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and healthcare. My own journey has been profoundly shaped by the mentors who guided me, and I believe in the importance of paying that support forward. Through my involvement in initiatives like the MSTP BOOST program and as a member of the MSTP admissions committee, I have worked to create pathways for all students in medicine, ensuring they have access to the resources and mentorship that can help them succeed. By coaching, I aim to empower aspiring medical professionals from diverse backgrounds at an affordable cost, helping them navigate their educational journeys and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
