I came to design through the backdoor after graduating with CS and working as a programmer then product manager. I learned how to be a user experience designer while on the job at Google which came with all of the ups and downs of learning and mastering a craft. My beliefs have formed through my journey: - I believe in finding your own way. Sometimes that means defining a path that doesn't currently exist. It can be slower than the more common path but ultimately more satisfying as it's the best path for you. - I believe that you’re never done. Let's optimize for the next best step, whether a big or small change. Refine and learn, not wait for the perfect moment. - I believe there can be a sense of ease when you find a way of working that's resonant with who you are and how you work.
