About Wesley
As an international student who attained a full merit scholarship, I would like to educate and uplift others. I'm currently pursuing a dual major in Computer Engineering at Dartmouth College and Economics and Computer Science at Wesleyan University as a Freeman Asian Scholar, a prestigious full-merit scholarship awarded annually to one Singaporean. I graduated from ACS Independent, Singapore, with a perfect 45/45 Points in the IB Diploma exams, excelling in Higher Level Physics, Mathematics, and Economics. I also achieved a 99th percentile score on the ACT, including a perfect 12/12 in ACT Writing. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring more than 30 students from prestigious institutions like ACS Independent, ACS International, SOTA, SJI, as well as international students from France, the US, Germany, and Ecuador. My students have consistently achieved significant grade improvements across IB and AP subjects, and I’m proud of the impact I’ve made in helping them reach their goals. Professionally, I’ve gained substantial experience in various roles. I interned in Product Management and Data Science at Treehouse Finance in Singapore, where I contributed to product strategy development and built comprehensive product roadmaps. As a Research Assistant at the privacy-tech-lab in Connecticut, USA, I was involved in impactful research projects. My experience also extends to investment analysis, having interned at Coinhako and Farquhar Capital in Singapore. I’m deeply committed to social impact and education. I founded Consultation Corner, a non-profit organization that provides mentorship to IB students, and initiated tutoring programs for underprivileged youths at Clementi Wishing Well and Heartfriends. As the Head of Education & Career Guidance (ECG) at SGExams, Singapore’s largest online student society, I founded pathfinding.exams.sg, an innovative integrated ECG platform that has benefited countless students. Additionally, as the Country Director of the ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO), I charted annual strategies and led outreach efforts, increasing the volunteer pool from 10 to over 40 youths, significantly impacting the regional community. I believe in fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment for my students and mentees.
Why do I coach?
As an international student on a full merit scholarship, I enjoy mentoring others.
