Taimur has helped clients get into these schools:

Hey there! I’m currently a fourth-year medical student at Stanford, where my research focuses on psychiatry and neurology. Unlike many of my peers, my path to medicine was deeply shaped by the humanities. I graduated from Harvard, where I earned a rare joint concentration in neuroscience and philosophy. After college, I earned a master’s degree from Duke in bioethics, technology ethics, and science policy, and I furthered my neurophilosophy studies as a Fulbright scholar in Germany before starting medical school. I believe medical school admissions is about more than just getting accepted — it’s a rare opportunity for deep reflection and growth. When approached with purpose and intention, the process can shape how you move through the rest of your life and career. I bring a unique background to this work, drawing on years of experience supporting students during some of their most vulnerable moments — as a peer mental health counselor, a member of Harvard’s Honor Council, and a student representative on several faculty committees. I’ve developed a keen ability to understand each student’s journey and help them express it clearly, powerfully, and authentically. Choosing to work with me means more than partnering with a Harvard alum, Fulbright scholar, and Stanford medical student who has gone through this process personally — it means working with someone who has helped his own siblings through this exact process, a community member known as the go-to for college and graduate school advice, and a former admissions professional at Ardent Academy. I’d love to get to know you and help you achieve your dreams!

About Taimur

I’m a medical student at Stanford interested in where the brain meets the human experience, in health and disease. I went to college at Harvard, where I was one of the first ever joint neuroscience and philosophy concentrators— I also studied Arabic, German, and linguistics. Before starting medical school, I earned a Masters in bioethics, tech ethics, and science policy from Duke and did research in neurophilosophy as a Fulbright scholar in Munich, Germany. I also spent some time at a seminary in my hometown in East Tennessee, exploring religion and spirituality. As a former peer mental health counselor, current older brother, and future psychiatrist, I have tons of experience helping others share their own life stories sincerely and powerfully. I'm a former admissions professional and continue to be the go-to amongst my friends and community for educational advice, a position that I'm honored and grateful to be in now.

Why do I coach?

Mentors have changed the trajectory of my life over and over again. From my school principal in middle school to my European history teacher in high school to my faculty advisors in college, I wouldn’t be where I am today without someone else believing in my potential and pushing me forward, even when I didn’t see a way forward. I’m grateful that I’ve gotten to do a small bit of the same for others by guiding high school and college students to their next steps in life too. What I've learned is that the admissions process doesn't have to be transactional, and success doesn't have to be measured in only attaining a specific outcome. The process is a powerful time-limited opportunity for a type of reflection and growth that could change the trajectory of one's life.
