Open to working with clients outside the U.S.
I spent six years at Goldman Sachs prior to attending Stanford Business School. I worked in Investment Banking for three years (covering healthcare, consumer, technology, and industrial companies). I worked on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, capital raising via debt and equity markets, and corporate restructurings. I then transitioned from IBD into the Executive Office, where I worked in the Corporate Strategy group. While in the Corporate Strategy group, I worked on M&A transactions on behalf of GS, consulted with revenue divisions on how to improve growth and operations, and helped start an incubator that operated as an internal venture fund.

About Michael
I am a graduate of the Stanford GSB and currently the Chief Operating Officer of a consumer technology startup, Lucra Sports. I graduated Cum Laude from Williams College (go Ephs), where I majored in Political Economy and played varsity soccer. After Williams, I spent six years at Goldman Sachs, working in our Executive Office, Investment Banking, and Firmwide Strategy divisions, across our San Francisco, Madrid, and New York offices. As a coach, I bring an honest, fresh perspective to the application and interview processes. In particular, I'm experienced at helping prospective MBAs and investment bankers think through the role a business degree or job can play in their life, especially if they're not sure about their long-term career path (as I went through the same struggle!) I'm skilled at helping applicants or candidates frame their diverse experiences in a compelling and cohesive way that resonates with admissions committees and interviewees. I'm a marketer at heart, so if you come from a similar background, or just looking for help crafting your story, I'm your guy.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I believe what you give is what you get. I have learned so much from each of my clients, and I enjoy helping them reach their next professional phase — whether that be in their career, at a business school, or elsewhere.
