Package Description:

Unlock your potential, achieve your dreams, and secure your place as a Schwarzman Scholar with this expert coaching package! Built off of my extensive experience successfully guiding dozens of candidates from initial conversation to acceptance, this comprehensive offering is designed to support you through every step of the rigorous and competitive application process. My approach is personalized, highly collaborative, and focused on bringing your unique strengths, experiences, and leadership vision to life. Designed as an end-to-end, full-service coaching package, the main areas of tailored support you will receive are broken out below, with specific details about estimated time input per stage. Depending on your budget and desired level of assistance, I am very flexible and also offer unbundled services for any specific one of these activities (e.g. only essay review, only resume/CV review, etc). 1. Initial Consultation, Brainstorming, & Application Strategy Session | ~1.0 - 1.5 hours of live coaching -Application Walkthrough: We'll start with an in-depth explanation of the major application components to ensure that you understand what the prompts are really asking for and how the different pieces of application 'real estate' are related to one another. -Background Deep Dive & Brainstorming: We'll then move into discussing your academic and professional journey so I can understand the leadership experiences you've had, the global challenges you are interested in solving, and how these interrelated themes can come together to create a cohesive overall candidate profile. -Deployable Frameworks for Main Essays: I will walk you through customized templates that I have developed which provide best practices on how to structure each of the two main application essays, which are universally applicable regardless of your topic of focus. -Timeline Planning: We'll set expectations for the cadence of working together in the time remaining before the September 10th deadline, based on your availability and time zone. 2. Resume/CV Optimization | ~0.5 - 1.0 hours of asynchronous coaching -Review & Adaptation: I will conduct a detailed review of your resume/CV to ensure it effectively communicates your educational achievements, professional work/internship experiences, and leadership/community involvement, all while adapting it to the format that the Schwarzman Scholars Career Services Center uses internally. 3. Statement of Purpose and Leadership Essay Iterative Edits | ~4.0 - 5.0 hours of asynchronous coaching -Sequential Reviews & Progressive Improvement: Once you've used the templates to develop first draft versions of both of the main application essays, I will provide comments and suggested edits across multiple rounds to iteratively improve your work. I dedicate 1 hour to a first draft review, where my feedback will primarily be structural and high-level in nature, advising on the content, organization, and coherence of the essay overall. My second draft review takes 30 minutes and focuses on sentence transitions and clarity of the ideas being communicated. Any subsequent reviews range between 15-30 minutes and will be aimed at bringing the essay to final form through scrutinizing spelling & grammar, reducing word count to be as concise as possible, and ensuring the precision of word choice. 4. Letters of Recommendation | 0.5 - 1.0 hours of asynchronous coaching -Guidance on Selecting Recommenders: Schwarzman Scholars requires three letters of recommendation and oftentimes applicants have a wide range of professors, mentors, and peers that would make for suitable recommenders. We will strategize which individuals would be the best to pick from your network and what unique value contribution they would make to reinforcing key points of your application and showcasing your character traits. -Recommendation Template & Edits: I have developed a custom 'Recommender Prep Document' that provides prompts, formatting, and best practices specific to the Schwarzman Scholars program that you can share with your recommenders to help guide them. In many cases, busy schedules mean recommenders ask you to first draft a version which they can edit before signing off on it, so I am able to assist with reviewing and editing letters in this scenario. 5. Short Response, Biography, Leadership Experiences/Accomplishments, & Self-Introduction Video | 0.5 - 1.0 hours of asynchronous coaching Edits, Strategic Selection, and Storyboarding: These are many of the smaller application components that shouldn't be overlooked. Here I will assist with narrowing down the leadership roles and accomplishments that are most impactful and aligned with your profile, will help you generate ideas for an engaging and authentic introduction video, and provide comments and feedback on your 100 word biography & two short response answers. 6. Check-In Meetings | Variable Amount of live coaching -Suited to Client Preference: Depending on your style/needs, you may want to have live conversations to discuss application progress, clarify questions on the feedback you've received on written documents, or just check-in to get some extra motivation if you are feeling daunted by the entire process. I have designed the package to be as cost-efficient as possible, meaning most of our interactions will occur asynchronously to optimize for what I have observed to be the minimal amount of time required to put together a stellar application. However, I am more than happy to meet as frequently as you would like, keeping in mind that any time/cost overrun would necessitate adding more hours of coaching time.

Expert Application Coach for Schwarzman Scholars | Top 50 Leland Coach

I am an alumnus of the 7th cohort of Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University, where I earned a Master's of Management Science in Global Affairs between 2022-23 and was selected from competitive pool of 3,000+ applicants (<5% acceptance rate). I bring firsthand experience and deep insights into what makes a successful master's application and I've previously helped advise candidates who have gone on to be accepted to prestigious graduate programs across China, Europe, and the United States. Throughout my educational journey, I've learned how to strategically frame and present one's leadership, academic, and professional accomplishments to highlight their unique strengths and successfully stand out.
