About Margaret
With a passion for teaching, Margaret has helped raise countless students' scores on the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, LSAT, GMAT, and GRE. A central tenet of her pedagogic philosophy is to allow the student to take the initiative and apply his or her unique approach to learning. Students and parents are often surprised by the depth of her dedication to her students and her ability to inspire persistence in the face of a challenge. She keeps her classes just as fun and entertaining as they are effective in helping students achieve their very best test performance. During her high school years, she maintained a 4.0 GPA, achieved a perfect score on the SAT, and received full scholarships from a host of Ivy League universities, including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, U Penn, and Columbia. Throughout her academic career, she has collated the strategies and insights that make up a top-notch application, and as your test prep tutor and personal college admission counselor, she can guide you through the complex process of applying to schools with an eye to putting your best foot forward. After graduating cum laude from Harvard College with an A.B. in English, Margaret worked in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in New York City before moving to Naples, Florida where she tutors students in the SAT and ACT and coaches them in the college application process. Originally from Beijing and Toronto, she is classically trained in violin and piano and fluent in Mandarin and French. Some of her favorite activities include swimming, yoga, and running with her cats, Apollo and Luna.
