Having worked with various leaders to fill business and marketing positions ranging from Social Media Coordinator to Business Development Manager, I have insider knowledge of the entire recruiting process and the expertise to help you get noticed and picked as the top choice by hiring managers. Why do I coach?
In 2018, I quit my sales job to pursue a new passion I had recently discovered—recruiting. I love recruiting because it allows me to help others get into their dream companies, use my voice to advocate for other underrepresented talents, and make a positive impact in other’s lives. With that mission, I started my job search journey without any relevant experience. As you can imagine, it was a challenging journey. In a year, I was on the job market three times. I would apply for tons of jobs and get few (or zero) responses. I was regularly ghosted by recruiters and got used to receiving one rejection email after another. However, I never gave up. Eventually, I landed three recruiting jobs at top tech companies in the Greater Seattle area. In my recruitment career, I’ve supported various departments and recruited diverse roles in different regions, including Marketing, Project Management, Operation, Localization, Sales, and Engineering. At The Pokémon Company International, I partnered with 30+ business and marketing hiring managers to recruit top talent for roles ranging from entry-level to director-level positions. This experience gave me deep insight into the recruitment process and allowed me to master the behind-the-scenes strategies that companies use to identify and hire exceptional candidates. In 2020, the pandemic hit. The high unemployment rate in the job market made me realize that I needed to do something more than just my day job. During that challenging time, I conducted tons of calls with professionals who had been laid off, recent graduates, immigrants, and early-career talents to provide them with recruitment insight and job search strategy. Seeing the overwhelming need for people all over the world to suddenly secure new employment, I started to share daily job search tips and recruiters’ insights on LinkedIn. When I received hundreds of messages describing how my content made a positive impact in their career, I knew it was time to follow my passion for helping job seekers awaken their power and make their next big move.
