As an ex-BCG Project Leader and Interviewer, I'm intimately familiar with the consulting interview process, spanning from case to behavioral interviews. I specialize in taking a "ground up" approach to building specific core consulting interview skills, then integrating them into a strong overall case interviewing muscle. My approach has garnered significant positive feedback and recognition, resulting in me being appointed the management consulting case prep lead at Wharton (for my MBA) and McCombs (for my undergrad). Through this experience, I have helped nearly 100 mentees with their case prep journeys. For my efforts, I was awarded the Career Mentorship award at Wharton. I am fortunate to still have strong contact with many of my mentees, nearly all of whom have gone on great careers at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Deloitte, and Accenture (as well as other firms). Several of these mentees have gone on to achieve great post-consulting careers as well, ranging from Private Equity, to Tech Product Management, to Corporate Strategy I break down my feedback on each case interview into 5 areas, and give detailed, actionable feedback on each: Clarification, Frameworking, Quantitative Analysis, Qualitative Analysis, and Synthesis. This approach has been strongly validated by mentees and resulted in offers across all top firms.

About Karthik
I'm a passionate case coach with over a decade of experience coaching and mentoring across capacities, but most specifically for the management consulting interview process. I have prepared over 100 candidates for the management consulting process, through my time leading the case preparation organizations at UT Austin's McCombs School of Business (Undergrad), the Wharton School (MBA), and as a for-hire case coach at MyConsultingCoach. The vast majority of my students have received offers at top consulting firms, and several continue to use the structured thinking approaches in their post-consulting careers as well. What sets me apart as a coach is my own genuine struggle in going through the interview process. I wasn't a "case savant" that just fell backwards into a consulting offer. I had to teach myself, from first principles, how to systematically build and integrate casing skills, and that approach has made it possible for me to explain my learnings in a patient, constructive way to students that may be struggling with specific aspects of their candidacy
Why do I coach?
Mentorship and teaching are core to my family history: My grandfather was the first in his family to go to college and became a Chemistry Professor, my mother runs a tutoring academy, and my father is an Accounting Professor. They instilled in me a core belief that while an individual's hard work and aptitude ultimately drive their outcomes, a well-timed, knowledgeable coach can be the unlock to setting an individual up for their desired path. I firmly believe in the value of the saved time that comes from a coach "guiding" you towards the right work to do. There's no silver bullet for getting consulting offers, and I know that. However, my north star is carefully listening to and observing my mentees, identifying the (sometimes subtle) behaviors and tendencies that act as blocks in their performance, and come up with a systematic, replicable, and efficient process so you see progress each and every "rep" you go through. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than the "aha" moment, when you see that the dots have connected, and your mentee has learnt a skill that previous seemed out of reach
