Jeremy’s Private Equity Qualifications
Experience level: Senior Associate
Jeremy has helped clients get into these companies:
I have five years of real estate private equity experience and recruited for real estate PE roles out of both undergrad and MBA programs. I have a great understanding of how to make your resume and application stand out as well as preparing for interviews. In undergrad I recruited for both real estate investment banking and private equity roles and landed at Greystar on their investment acquisitions team. I then spent four years working in real estate development at PEG Companies, a development firm focused on multifamily, hospitality, office, and build-for-rent development. During business school at Chicago Booth, I recruited for real estate PE roles and interviewed with firms including Tishman Speyer, Bain Capital, Related Companies, CIM Group, and Partners Group. I interned with and accepted a full-time offer with Goldman Sachs in their real estate private equity group.

About Jeremy
Hey, I'm Jeremy. I am passionate about real estate investment and have built a career in institutional real estate private equity. My journey began at a non-target undergrad school that, at the time, had limited resources for those pursuing internships and jobs in real estate. Through hundreds of cold emails, coffee chats, and interviews, I was able to build my resume through good internships and land a job at Greystar on their multifamily acquisitions team in Southern California. I was responsible for financial modeling and underwriting as well as asset management and due diligence for the firm's acquisitions and existing assets. After Greystar, I found an opportunity to work with PEG Companies, a fast-growing developer in Salt Lake City. I wore a lot of hats and learned the development side of real estate. I got exposure to numerous asset classes including multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, and extended-stay hotel conversion to multifamily. I was also able to help the firm launch a new strategy into build-for-rent and led deal sourcing, due diligence, entitlements, and construction. I am now getting my MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and successfully recruited for real estate private equity. I was fortunate to receive multiple PE offers and spent my summer interning with Goldman Sachs on a $3.5bn real estate private equity fund. I received a full-time return offer and will be going back to Goldman in NYC next summer.
Why do I coach?
I know how difficult the recruiting process can be for real estate private equity, I've lived through it both as an undergrad and MBA candidate. Without the help of mentors and coaches, I wouldn't be where I'm at today. I look forward to sharing my experience and working with students and young professionals who are ready to make the next step in their careers.
