Jeff’s Artificial Intelligence Qualifications
Coaches professionally
Experience level: Manager
My qualifications as a coach are built on deep, practitioner-level experience in AI product management. I spent 9 years at Amazon as a Principal Technical Product Manager, where I led the strategy and development of complex AI and Generative AI products. This specialization is the culmination of a career spanning 25+ years that began in engineering, giving me a firsthand understanding of how to translate technical skills into strategic product competencies—a critical skill for any aspiring AI product leader. As a former hiring manager at Amazon who conducted over 150 interviews for these roles, I offer a rare, 360-degree perspective on what it takes to build an impactful career in the most competitive sector of technology. My coaching combines this insider's view with my practitioner's expertise to help you navigate your own path to success in AI product management.

About Jeff
I'm a product leader and a builder of careers. With over 25 years in the tech industry, my journey has taken me from engineer to Principal Technical Product Manager at Amazon, where I spent 9 years leading complex AI and Generative AI initiatives. But the common thread throughout my career—whether leading product strategy or on a mountain—has been a passion for coaching. I've been a certified snowboard instructor for 30 years and currently coach a high school tennis team. I thrive on helping people unlock their potential. This passion for mentorship is the foundation of my coaching practice, where I help you design a career with intention and build the skills to excel at the highest levels.
Why do I coach?
At Amazon, I interviewed over 150 candidates. I often saw brilliant people with incredible potential get rejected because they couldn't effectively articulate their value. That experience revealed a critical gap: success isn't just about having the right skills; it's about knowing how to tell a compelling story for your career. I coach to close that gap. My mission is to help talented professionals build fulfilling, long-term careers in product. While interview preparation is a crucial part of that, my focus is on the bigger picture: helping you transition into product from other fields, guiding you through the challenges of your first 90 days, and developing the leadership skills needed to get promoted. Ultimately, I coach because I believe the right people deserve the chance to do impactful work, and sometimes you just need a guide who has already walked the path.
