Welcome to my profile! As the founder of Bridge2Transfer, I am dedicated to empowering community college students to navigate the transfer process with confidence and success. With a background in Political Science and Data Science from UC Berkeley and extensive experience in student mentorship and academic advising, I have developed a deep expertise in college admissions. I personally gained admission to 12 out of the 14 Top 20 universities I applied to—including Stanford, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and more—giving me firsthand insight into what it takes to craft a competitive application. Through my work as a transfer mentor and developing a platform to reach many students, I have successfully guided 62 (and counting) students in developing compelling applications, refining personal statements, and securing admission to top universities. My approach goes beyond just getting students admitted—I focus on equipping them with the tools, strategies, and confidence to excel at their dream schools. About Ethan

I’m a proud UC Berkeley alum with a unique blend of Political Science and Data Science expertise—and a journey that defied expectations. When I started my transfer process, multiple counselors told me to be more realistic with my goals. But I believed in my story, stayed focused, and ended up being admitted to 12 out of the 14 Top 20 schools I applied to, including Stanford, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and more. That experience inspired me to found Bridge2Transfer, a platform dedicated to helping community college students navigate the complex and often overwhelming transfer process. With years of student leadership and mentorship experience, I’ve guided over 60 students in developing standout applications, crafting powerful personal statements, and preparing for interviews with confidence. My goal is to help students aim high, believe in themselves, and get into the schools they once thought were out of reach. I’m here to provide personalized, honest, and strategic support every step of the way, because your dream school might be more within reach than you think!

Why do I coach?

I coach because I know how overwhelming and discouraging the transfer process can feel, especially when others tell you your goals aren’t realistic. I’ve been there. Counselors told me to aim lower, but I trusted my story, worked hard, and got into 12 out of 14 Top 20 schools, including Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. That experience showed me how powerful the right guidance and mindset can be. I started Bridge2Transfer to give students the support I wish I had, someone who understands both the emotional and strategic sides of the transfer journey. Coaching lets me help students believe in themselves, craft compelling applications, and ultimately rewrite the narrative about what’s possible coming from community college. Watching my students achieve their goals is one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever experienced.
