About Ellen

I have had the privilege of contributing to admissions and pre-health programs at renowned institutions. My career began at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where I rose to the position of Director of Admissions, and was a voting member of the admissions committee. I gained invaluable insights into the intricate admissions processes and played a pivotal role in selecting candidates for one of the nation's premier dental programs. Building on this foundation, I transitioned to theColumbia University the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program, as Assistant Dean in Here, I focused exclusively on the unique needs of non-traditional students, providing guidance and support to individuals pursuing careers in healthcare via non-traditional pathways. Recognizing my passion for fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals, I then took on the role of Assistant Dean at Fordham University, where I played a vital role in expanding the Prehealth Program. In this capacity, I worked closely with traditional students, helping them develop comprehensive profiles both inside and outside the classroom. My commitment lies in the holistic development of students, emphasizing not only academic excellence but also the cultivation of qualities that make well-rounded healthcare professionals. Throughout my career, I have been a dedicated advocate for students, leveraging my expertise to guide them through the int we ricate processes of admissions and program development.

Why do I coach?

My approach to coaching centers on demystifying the complexities of the admissions process. I draw on my wealth of knowledge to simplify the journey, making it accessible and comprehensible for each individual I guide. Whether working with non-traditional students exploring unconventional paths or traditional students refining their profiles, I enjoy providing clarity and confidence.
