About Elizabeth
After exploring an interest in journalism and spending a summer internship dipping my toes into that world, I pivoted into the fast-paced world of finance. At Johns Hopkins, I kept my Art History college major but added a minor in entrepreneurship and management. After moving to Baird's Milwaukee HQ for my first full-time job and moving up the steep learning curve I encountered in investment banking, I moved 100 miles south to Chicago and was promoted to Associate. I then moved to Dallas to work at Insight Equity, an LBO-focused private equity firm based there, and invested in industrial businesses. After applying to MBA programs and picking Harvard Business School, I moved to Boston and explored startup work by founding a clean, plastic-free skincare company. Since graduating, I've moved to NYC, near my family in CT, and worked at the Environmental Defense Fund through HBS' Leadership Fellows Program focusing on sustainability within PE. Outside of work, I'm currently training for a short race (10K) with my husband and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, including my two sisters since we're all nearby again after each living across the US for the prior decade. I also love going to my favorite workout classes at Barry's Bootcamp, which balances out my love of gelato--habits from a study abroad in Italy die hard--and I still indulge my love of art history with the City's many museums. I'm details-oriented but the best advice I've received has been tailored to what I actually need at that moment. Some times that means going granular while other times it's high-level brainstorming or even just having the ear of a good listener that gets you to an answer you had all along. I'm here to talk, plan, and strategize!
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I saw the benefits of working with a dedicated coach firsthand throughout my own MBA application process. I was thrilled with my outcome and getting to attend HBS, but the process itself was equally rewarding because of the thoughtfulness with which I was encouraged to approach it by my coach. That is what I've been able to take forward with me and that's why I love helping others going through the MBA process. It can be beneficial far beyond the business school process.
