Package Description:

This program is built to give you a practical, hedge-fund level framework for thinking about investing. The focus is on developing the analytical instincts and structured approach required to succeed as a buyside analyst. We’ll work through the same questions portfolio managers expect their analysts to answer: how businesses create value, how the market prices that value, and where opportunities for differentiated views exist. You’ll learn to move beyond surface-level analysis and build conviction through structured frameworks from idea generation, to valuation, to risk/reward construction. The goal is to help you see through the noise, understand what the market is implying, and position yourself to identify mispricings before they’re obvious. By the end, you’ll be able to connect qualitative insights with quantitative expectations and present your work in a way that stands up in an investment committee or interview setting. Here’s what we’ll cover in this program (8 sessions, 1.5 hr each): 1. Buyside frameworks and analyst role • Intro on the different investment styles + key objectives you want to achieve as an analyst • How buy-side differs vs. sell-side • How you can take advantage of differing structural constraints at different funds 2. Idea generation and business analysis (part 1) • Frameworks on generating ideas (both on the job, and today in personal life), what differentiates a good business from a bad business 3. Business analysis (part 2) • Understanding the key drivers of business value creation and how businesses increase their valuation 4. Valuation (part 1) • Assessing expectations + thinking about what is the fair multiple for a stock. Goal is to get you to a space where you get a good sense of what people are extrapolating in the stock when you see the multiple • Why stocks move up and down 5. Valuation (part 2) • Valuation and expectations is a super detailed topic, and so need a two-parter • Second part is more around tying the business analysis views to the valuation, and how to pre-emptively identify changes in the valuation before it happens 6. Variant view generation • How to identify opportunities in the same sector / pair trades / identifying key levers that drive entire industry move • How to connect qualitative thesis to quantitative earnings variance 7. Risk/reward + catalysts • Explore how to construct a differentiated POV, catalyst path, and understanding how to construct a good bull/bear scenario • This is where you should start formulating your pitch 8. Pitch construction • Understanding pitching best practices + the different presentation styles depending on the audience (i.e. for case studies vs. interviews)

Ex-Point72 Fundamental L/S Equity Analyst | Unlock your path to H.F.

I started my career in investment banking before transitioning to a fundamental Long/Short equity analyst role at Point72, where I spent years analyzing investments and refining my approach to stock picking. Along the way, I’ve mentored many aspiring investors—helping them navigate the industry, develop strong investment frameworks, and prepare for interviews. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to break into hedge funds or other competitive finance roles, and my goal is to provide practical, honest guidance to make that process more manageable. My approach is highly personalized, focusing on deep dives into stock ideas, thesis conviction, valuation frameworks, risk analysis, and mock interviews that prepare you for the toughest buy-side interviews. Each session is tailored to what you need most—whether that’s refining a stock pitch, improving your valuation approach, or sharpening your ability to defend an investment idea under pressure. I’ve worked with clients at different stages in their careers, from students looking for their first buy-side role to professionals seeking to transition into investing. Many of them have gone on to land interviews and offers at top hedge funds and asset management firms, and I take pride in helping them reach their goals. If you’re looking for clear, straightforward feedback from someone who has been in the industry, I’m happy to help. My sessions are designed to be practical and results-driven, focusing on the skills and insights that actually matter in investing. Let me know how I can help.
