About Claire
Before becoming a GMAT instructor, I was a Big 4 tax consultant. What surprised me? Training colleagues became the highlight of my job – which sparked my transition to full-time tutoring. I scored in the 99th percentile on the GMAT Focus through self-study and targeted practice. Along the way, I discovered something unexpected: GMAT prep can actually be fun (think strategic puzzle-solving!). Now I help students transform their mindset from dread to confidence through tailored, collaborative learning—no cookie-cutter approaches here. My teaching focuses on building "GMAT muscles" with step-by-step skill development and interactive walkthroughs, because passive watching never equals real learning. In addition, count on me as your cheerleader throughout the GMAT prep process - there is always someone to cheer you on when the process of preparing for this marathon gets tiring. Why do I coach?
My own GMAT journey taught me two conflicting truths: the exam’s available resources are incredibly empowering—and utterly overwhelming. I remember feeling equal parts grateful for the wealth of materials and paralyzed by GMAT FOMO, cramming every question bank and course I could find. Now I realize what I truly needed wasn’t more content, but someone to pull me aside and say, “You don’t need to solve every problem you see. Mastery beats mileage." That’s the coach I’ve become. I help busy professionals—juggling MBAs, careers, and families—cut through the noise. Together, we focus on sustainable, strategic prep where deep understanding trumps checklist completion.
