About Brandon
My name is Brandon Wong, and I'm currently a first-year MBA student at Wharton in the Health Care Management program. Prior to Wharton, I was a Private Equity Associate at Charlesbank Capital Partners, where I worked on new platform transactions and with portfolio companies across the business and financial services and healthcare sectors. Previously, I was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, working with both private equity and corporate clients across a variety of sectors. I'm originally from Tega Cay, SC (just outside Charlotte, NC), and I'm the oldest of four siblings. Outside of professional stuff, I enjoy skiing, tending to my plants, and following the Premier League.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I've enjoyed helping friends and mentees get jobs in private equity and consulting, particularly those from a similar background. I was a Pell Grant recipient in college and helped stand up Bain's first-gen and low-income affinity group in the Atlanta office. More generally, I enjoy teaching and supporting economic advancement, and most of my extra-curricular and volunteer activities have centered around mentorship and/or financial inclusivity.
