3-Sessions to dive deep on technical modeling to be ready to handle any model test: - 10 minutes ("paper LBO") - 2 hour LBO - 2 day take-home test (full 3-statements) Strengthen operating model skills. Ultimately an LBO is only as good as its inputs and operating assumptions. In my experience as a PE-associate, in my first 6-months I had the "bones" for the LBO-cash flow modeling and have spent the next 7 years of my career focusing on making sure I'm spending 90% of my due diligence on the operating model. THAT is where the value creation opportunity is. Ability to learn these skills efficiently given the crazy schedule of an IB analyst - you don't have time to waste. (Secondary Goal) General technical improvement and ability to be prepared for private equity interviewing I will provide you the following: - 2 take-home case tests (short, medium/long) - My personal model templates for you to build and learn skills SCHEDULE: Take Home: Complete the short paper LBO exercise 1. 30 minutes intro go over our plan, ask questions Take Home: Medium tests 2. 45 minutes to review work product of short-form and medium form, ask questions, and tips for improvement Take Home: Complete long form exercise 3. 45 minutes to review long form --2 Hours Total-- In order to be iterative in the learning, our time is best spent cut into shorter blocks where we can go over concepts, and then revert back once you have practiced. You can dictate the cadence of our meetings- we can meet weekly, or monthly. I am also flexible if you need to cancel last-minute if a bake-off blows-up your schedule. It's a marathon - not a sprint!
