Package Description:

This package is built for ambitious applicants who are actively (or very soon) applying for graduate schools in the next 4-6months, looking to build up their portfolio/profile in the process, AND put in the work outside of coaching sessions to increase their chances of getting accepted into grad school. Common coaching activities in this package include, but are not limited to: - School Selection: Curate a mix of programs that align with your academic interests, professional aspirations, and personal values. - Profile Assessment: Conduct a deep dive into your candidacy to highlight strengths and uncover areas to enhance. - Application Strategy: Craft a compelling narrative that connects your academic, professional, and personal experiences. - Timeline Building: Create a month-by-month roadmap to stay organized and reduce stress throughout the process. - Test Prep Planning (if needed): Outline a personalized test prep strategy for exams like the GRE or GMAT based on your timeline and goals. - Extracurricular Planning & Portfolio Building: Identify gaps in profile for target schools and start addressing them ASAP (ideally before August if applying for programs in Fall). A great option for those who want to go to grad school but need clarity on which programs to apply for and a specific plan to prepare them to be a standout candidate. Additional sessions or packages can be added on to review package materials - like essays, CVs, and recommendations.

I supported the Admissions Committee at Carnegie Mellon for the MSCF Program (heavy in data science, ML, stats, math, and finance) as a Career Coach. As part of the committee, I evaluated hundreds of candidate materials - including CVs, application essays, video interviews, and conducted some interviews. By sitting on the committee, I also learned what faculty were looking for in coursework, academic rigor, and grades from candidates. In total, I've spent 10 years helping Masters and PhD applicants (both those fresh from undergrad and those looking to pivot careers) research programs, prepare essays & CVs, connect with alumni & industry professionals, refine their portfolio, and upskill to prepare for admission into competitive programs. I'm not going to tell you what courses to take - each Admission program has their own program requirements. But I WILL help you manage multiple applications in one cycle - while ensuring you're aligning your interests, materials, and skills with programs that will get you closer to your career goals. My approach is direct, adaptable, supportive, and ADHD-friendly: mitigating anxiety and minimizing the overwhelm that comes with navigating graduate admissions on top of the rest of your life. You can check out some articles I've written for incoming grad students on QuantNet and my LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/acrosscareers).
