About Arnav

Hi, I’m a current MBA student at Kellogg School of Management, and I’ll be joining McKinsey's Silicon Valley office as an Associate after graduation. But my journey here wasn’t a straight path—and that’s why I’m passionate about helping others navigate their own career pivots and big milestones. I started my career as a software engineer after earning a degree in computer science. I loved solving complex problems but felt drawn toward product strategy and leadership. So, I made the leap into product management, working across India and the UK. It wasn’t easy—learning to think like a PM, leading cross-functional teams, and breaking into the space took work. But through the process, I figured out how to translate my technical background into a compelling product leadership story—one I now help others tell as they make their own career shifts. When I decided to pursue my MBA, I faced another challenge: balancing intense GMAT prep while working full-time. I wasn’t a natural at the verbal section, but with focused strategies and structured practice, I improved my verbal score by 40% and ultimately scored a 760 on my first attempt. That experience taught me that the right mindset, strategies, and discipline can transform results. After securing admission to three top MBA programs, I wanted to experience the dynamic environment of working at an early stage startup working with disruptive technology, which is what I did for my summer internship. In my second year, I set my sights on consulting—another major career pivot. I went through the demanding recruitment process, landing my offer at McKinsey after mastering case interviews and the personal fit assessments. Since then, I’ve coached others on the same journey, helping them secure offers at McKinsey, BCG, and Bain with a structured approach to both case prep and personal storytelling. I’ve been where you are—navigating major career transitions, preparing for high-stakes exams, and figuring out how to tell my story in a way that stands out. Whether you’re aiming to break into product management, score high on the GMAT, land a spot at a top MBA, or crack MBB consulting interviews, I’m here to help you get there with confidence. Let’s turn your goals into reality—together!

Why do I coach?

Coaching matters to me because I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative the right guidance can be—and I’ve seen how sharing my experiences can unlock new opportunities for others. I was the first in my organization to transition from software engineering to product management. After making that leap, many colleagues with similar aspirations reached out for guidance, and I found genuine fulfillment in helping them navigate the same career shift. Seeing others break into PM roles with the right support made me realize how much of a difference mentorship can make. When it came to MBA applications, I helped my sister prepare for the GMAT and craft her story, leading to admits from three M7 schools with scholarships. Since then, I’ve guided friends through their own applications, helping them secure spots at top MBA programs across the US and Europe. More recently, I’ve supported classmates preparing for management consulting interviews, focusing not just on technical case prep but also on confidence building—leading to offers from top firms like McKinsey, BCG, and Bain. I coach because I believe the right mindset, strategies, and personal guidance can be life-changing. Whether you're preparing for a big career pivot, a challenging exam, or a high-stakes interview, I’m passionate about helping you unlock your potential and achieve the results you’re aiming for. Let’s make your next big step a reality together!
