About Anurag
Hi there! My name is Anurag, and I'm excited to potentially work with you on your MBA admissions journey. A bit about my background: I grew up primarily in Mumbai, India before moving to the United States to attend Stanford University as an international student. I studied Management Science and Engineering, which gave me a strong foundation in both business and analytical problem-solving. After graduating from Stanford, I gained valuable corporate experience working in supply chain roles at Nike and Apple. Seeking to further develop my business acumen, I then moved to Chicago to pursue my MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. At Booth, I focused my studies on Finance, Entrepreneurship, and General Management. Post-MBA, I worked as a management consultant at Keystone Strategy advising technology clients on strategic issues. Currently, I am the Director of Corporate Strategy at Mawson, a publicly-traded digital infrastructure company. Over the past few years, I have discovered a passion for coaching MBA applicants. I find it extremely rewarding to get to know candidates, hear their unique stories, and help them put their best foot forward in the admissions process. To date, I have advised over 20 applicants who have secured admission to top programs including Wharton, Booth, and Haas. In my spare time, I enjoy staying active through soccer, swimming and hiking. I am also an accredited yoga teacher and maintain a regular practice.
Why do I coach?
I became an MBA admissions consultant because I'm passionate about connecting with driven individuals and helping them achieve their goals. Throughout my own journey, I've been fortunate to work with incredible coaches who helped me navigate challenges and stay true to my aspirations. When I was applying to MBA programs, I worked with a consultant who played an instrumental role in my success. Beyond refining my application, my consultant pushed me to reflect deeply on my experiences and extract meaningful insights. This period of focused introspection and collaboration truly changed the trajectory of my life. Today, I find deep fulfillment in paying it forward and serving as a trusted thought partner to MBA applicants. I love working to uncover gems of personal experience and weave them into authentic, memorable narratives. Seeing my clients gain acceptance to their dream schools is incredibly rewarding, but even more gratifying is watching them develop profound self-awareness that will serve them well beyond the application process. If my approach to coaching resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for an introductory call. I look forward to learning more about your background and exploring how I can help you bring your MBA aspirations to fruition.
