About Annie
Annie Wang is a private equity technology strategy consultant at PwC Strategy&, a deferred admit to Chicago Booth MBA, high-achieving graduate of Michigan Ross (BBA '23), Spotify host & producer of wellness podcast "in perspective", and a part-time holistic growth coach. With great depth and spiritual understanding of the world, Annie is passionate about sharing unique, powerful human experiences to empower individuals towards greater heights. She has been coaching for over 3 years, starting as a paid consulting and admissions coach at the University of Michigan Career Center, who hired her to consult and guide her peers in their academic and professional endeavors. She was hired by the Michigan Ross School of Business to be a BA100 Peer Mentor, BA200 Course Assistant, and Writing Coach for underresourced transfer applicants to the competitive business school. With her experience working part-time with the University of Michigan under 4 different jobs, Annie has a deep understanding of how to succeed in a collegiate and professional environment, power moves to maximize the power of your network, mock interview and resume review experience, and the college admissions committee perspective. Coming from a low-income, immigrant household as a first-generation college student, Annie deeply understands the transformative power of education. Her unwavering gratitude for the opportunities she has received fuels her mission to promote educational equity and make continuous learning accessible to all. For this reason, she is offering a discount to all first-generation college students seeking coaching from her. Send a message to receive the promo code. With coaching from Annie, you will not only realize and exceed your collegiate or professional goals, but you will also develop greater understanding and synergy in the eight dimensions of wellness of your life. Well-being is a lifelong journey of continuous growth and evolution. While we often tend to prioritize certain aspects of our well-being, embracing a holistic approach allows us to unlock untapped potential and fulfillment. With the proper guidance and information, we can forge a path toward a holistically happier and healthier life. Unlike traditional coaching or mentoring, my approach focuses on developing habits and balancing 8 dimensions of wellness. Here is an overview of my qualifications in each dimension of wellness: 1) Emotional well-being involves recognizing, understanding, and healthily managing your emotions. It's about cultivating a positive attitude, resilience, and emotional intelligence. I actively practice mindfulness and meditation, and I use a variety of healing and growth techniques to align my mind, body, and spirit. 2) Physical well-being focuses on taking care of your body through proper nutrition, regular exercise, sleep, and preventive healthcare. I competed as an USA Powerlifter, maintain an active and consistent fitness routine, and thoroughly researched balanced nutrition. I can coach in setting fitness goals, personalized workouts, and overall physical health. 3) Spiritual well-being involves finding meaning, purpose, and connection in life. It's about exploring your beliefs, values, and inner sense of peace. Closely connected to emotional well-being. 4) Social well-being is about building and nurturing positive relationships with others. It includes a sense of belonging, connection, and support. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business with a 3.9/4.0 GPA. I was involved in several extracurricular activities, held 7+ leadership positions, and was part of an elite pro-bono consulting club. I also have an extensive social network connecting with influential industry leaders for mentorship, opportunities, and resources. I can advise on time management, balancing and prioritizing responsibilities, and leveraging powerful connections in college. 5) Financial well-being involves effectively managing your financial resources, planning for the future, and achieving a sense of financial security. * Managed several revenue streams, created personal budget, and maintained a $25k+ investment portfolio. I can teach financial independence, budgeting, investing, and effective spending habits. 6) Occupational well-being pertains to finding fulfillment and satisfaction in your work or chosen pursuits. It involves a sense of accomplishment, growth, and work-life balance. I interned at Goldman Sachs and PwC Strategy&, skilled in behavioral and case interviews, and have experienced preparing candidates for interviews. 7) Intellectual well-being revolves around stimulating your mind, engaging in lifelong learning, and pursuing intellectual challenges that spark your curiosity. I am an avid reader and love to challenge myself with intellectual projects and tasks. 8) Environmental well-being involves respecting and caring for your surroundings, including the natural environment. It's about living in harmony with your surroundings and minimizing your ecological footprint. I have changed environments several times (immigrating to the US at age 7, transferring schools at age 16, moving to an out-of-state college at 18, living at home at age 21, and moving to a new city at age 22), and can advise on ways and opportunities to positively align your goals and values with your environment and surroundings.
Why do I coach?
Annie believes that everyone has the potential within them to transform their lives, if given actionable and accurate information. Her mission is to empower underrepresented and disadvantaged individuals to become their best selves for the collective benefit of humanity. In college, she served as a respected peer mentor, academic coach, and consulting peer coach for hundreds of students. She also credits much of her success to influential mentors who have guided her journey, such as the Dean of Business at Michigan Ross, Sharon Matusik, a Partner at Strategy&, Vikram Negi, and a FCPS School Board Member, Ryan McElveen. All of these people saw her potential and invested in her growth, which she hopes to do for the next generation of student leaders and changemakers.
