About Angela
After growing up in Connecticut (USA) I studied theatre and acting at Fairfield University (CT) and the British American Drama Academy in London. I lived in NYC for 10 years, during which time I had many different jobs while pursing my love of the stage. I received my TEFL certificate in Paris in 2011 and since 2013, I have been living in France and tutoring privately and in schools in Manhattan, Paris, and online. I very quickly expanded my tutoring skills to verbal test preparation (GMAT, GRE, EA, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS) and built my experience tutoring reading, writing, literature, and history. I have worked for a variety of companies with students ranging from pre-school to late adult age, with various levels of language and comprehension. In addition to being a tutor, I am an actor, singer, and currently actively pursuing my writing career. I have had several articles published on various travel and teaching websites, have created two personal travel blogs, and have recently written a novel as well as several screenplays. It is my true love of travel and verbal expression that have brought me to this point.
Why do I coach?
After living in NYC for almost a decade, I realized that I wanted to do something else with my life. I wanted to travel the world, delve into my creative passions, and have amazing adventures. As a result, I uprooted my life and moved to Paris, where I began my coaching career. I not only had an excellent teacher who taught me how to combine structure and creativity, but I built a life that was exactly what I wanted it to be. While teaching, tutoring, and coaching for over ten years now, I have come to realize how rewarding it can be to help people achieve their goals just as I was able to do. As a former actress and current writer, I value English, language, and verbal expression, and I love helping students hone their skills in these areas to pursue their own passions and dreams.
