About Angela
Hi! I’m Angela - your partner in admissions, career transitions, and all things professional growth. My background spans education technology, venture capital, consulting, and entrepreneurship, giving me a unique 360° view of what it takes to succeed in today’s competitive landscape. I completed my Master’s at Stanford’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (where fewer than 30 students are admitted each year) and was accepted into every grad program I applied to, including Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia SIPA, and Johns Hopkins SAIS. I founded and currently lead Stanford’s Education Entrepreneurship Hub, a role I networked my way into, mentoring emerging leaders and entrepreneurs to build high-impact ventures. Why Work with Me? Success is more than an acceptance letter or job offer, it’s about forging a path aligned with your core values and long-term aspirations. Over the years, I’ve coached well over 100 applicants and early career-changers in securing admissions to top programs or securing roles at prestigious firms. Mentees often mention my ability to handle sensitive essay topics, last-minute timelines, and unique career hurdles, all while helping them stay grounded and motivated. I also created a product trusted by 11,000+ users to navigate their early career transitions - from finding to excelling in their first jobs! *MBA Admissions* • Proven Results: I’ve guided a diverse range of MBA candidates, including military veterans, mid-career professionals, recent grads, and current college students into MBA and deferred MBA programs across the M7. • Holistic Approach: From sentence-level edits to big-picture narratives, I make sure every part of your application aligns with your broader career goals and you put your best narrative foot forward. • Confidence & Clarity: My mentees frequently highlight how I help them navigate both logistical hurdles and mental stress, leading to authentic, compelling applications that stand out to admissions committees. *Grad School (Policy + Education) Admissions* • Inside Knowledge: I was accepted to every policy-focused program I applied to (including Stanford MIP, HKS, Columbia SIPA, Johns Hopkins SAIS, Tufts Fletcher, Sciences Po, UofT Munk School) and now advise applicants on everything from program research to funding. • Stanford Accelerator for Learning: Through my work at Stanford’s Graduate School of Education, I mentor students across a range of education programs, providing firsthand insight into what top schools expect. • Empathy & Expertise: Having been in your shoes, I understand the unique challenges policy and education applicants face. My advice is grounded in real experience, not theory. *Consulting Recruitment* • Recruiter’s Perspective: As a former campus and experienced-hire lead at Deloitte, I personally reviewed thousands of applications, designed interview questions, and coached 50+ candidates into offers at MBB and Big 4 (60% at MBB). • Case Mastery: I wrote my own case materials based on actual client work and teach you how to think like a consultant, not just memorize frameworks. • Well-Being Matters: Breaking into consulting is intense; I emphasize a human touch and mental health so you perform at your best. *Career Coaching and Early-Career Acceleration* • Multi-Sector Experience: From education tech and venture capital to consulting and entrepreneurship, I’ve navigated major transitions and love helping others do the same. • Action-Oriented Strategy: I combine resume and LinkedIn refreshes, networking best practices, and interview prep to create a clear roadmap for leveling up or pivoting. • Mentorship Mindset: My role at the Stanford Education Entrepreneurship Hub allows me to mentor founders and early-career professionals, sharpening my ability to guide clients toward meaningful, sustainable success. Ready to Get Started? I’m here to support you every step of the way, offering candor, empathy, and proven strategies that helped me (and my clients) reach top schools and sought-after roles. **Let’s schedule a free introductory call** to talk about your goals, challenges, and how we can turn your vision into reality. I can’t wait to help you succeed!
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know firsthand how transformative the right guidance can be, especially for people who might not see someone like themselves represented at the highest levels. Growing up, I often felt like the opportunities I dreamed about belonged to someone else, not me. But then, a few key mentors stepped in at pivotal moments and saw my potential before I did. They offered not just advice, but genuine belief in who I was and who I could become. That unwavering support was life-changing, and it’s exactly what drives me to do this work for others. Beyond simply getting you “in,” coaching is about helping you discover what really motivates you, and ensuring that your goals stay true to your own values. Admissions or landing the job can feel like the finish line, but it’s really just the start of a bigger journey. I love guiding people to unearth their personal stories, finding those authentic threads that define who they are and where they want to go. It’s the chance to build your self-confidence and sense of purpose so that, whether you’re applying to a top-tier school or making a bold career move, you do it in a way that fully honors who you are. And for me, there’s no greater reward than being a real partner to you in that process!
