Andrew has helped clients get into these companies:
As an Associate Partner at Bain & Co., I know how transformative a career in consulting can be. I also know firsthand how difficult and stressful it can be to go through the interview process, which is becoming more competitive each year. Getting an offer at a premier consulting firm takes more than just dozens of practice consulting cases - understanding exactly what the firms are looking for, and how to hit exactly those points - can be the difference between success and failure. During my time at Bain, I've been actively involved in the recruiting process, screening and interviewing candidates for Associate Consultant and Consultant roles for the past ~6 years. I know exactly how consulting firms think about their selection process, and how you can stand out in a competitive field. As an HBS graduate, I have also been on the 'other side' of the recruiting wall, and can share detailed tips and tricks for how to build the right prep motion to nail the case interviews. I look forward to helping you start your career in consulting!

About Andrew
If you re-ran your life as a simulation 100 times, how many of those times would you end up in a similar(ish) place? How many truly divergent, fork-in-the-road, life changing moments appear in your timeline that irrevocably alter the course of your trajectory? If you took a look at where my career path was in ~2015, you'd likely expect the 100 simulation outcomes to be more or less the same. Graduating from a state university and working at a mid-tier oil & gas company as an individual contributor, my path to accelerated advancement had few branches open to me. Nonetheless, I was fortunate enough to make my way to Harvard Business School in 2016, and ultimately a long and successful career in consulting with Bain & Company - two divergent moments that forever changed my career path and future. I hope to use my time here with Leland to help create divergent and transformative moments for your career path as well. Within consulting, I focus mostly in Performance Improvement and Social Impact, though I have a breadth of casework experience including Private Equity, Healthcare, Energy, Technology, and Supply Chain & Operations. I also love mentoring great people (in and outside of Bain), which is why I am here with Leland! Outside of work, I am involved with a non-profit board (the Austin Asian American Film Festival), and I love to travel and explore the world, having visited ~100 countries (depending on how you count them), as well as climbing big mountains around the world. Looking forward to connecting soon!
Why do I coach?
I get a lot of energy from mentoring and coaching great people. I know firsthand how important a good confidant, coach, and advisor is, and how much of a difference it can have for your confidence, preparation, and ultimate career success. I can quickly name the handful of people that have truly invested in me and my dreams and aspirations over the years, and I want to do the same for others (consider it a karma debt!) I have a long track record of coaching, with dozens of mentees through the past ~decade. I've helped them in MBA applications, case interview prep, career discussions, and anything else top of mind as they navigate their careers. At Bain, I've won several People/Coaching awards, and hope to bring my expertise and quirky personality to our sessions to get you where you want to go. I take a very hands-on and personalized approach to get to know you individually, understand your full story and goals, and really hone in on your specific development opportunities and needs - no two discussions are the same, and that is by design. Its said that success is when preparedness meets luck - I can't control for the latter, but I am committed to building as many tailwinds for you as possible and helping you achieve your goals!
