About Alex
I’m a mission-driven product leader and former management consultant with a career that’s spanned the military, aerospace innovation, and national security technology. I began my professional journey as a U.S. Army officer before transitioning into management consulting, first at Accenture, then at McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, I served as a trained interviewer and recruiting lead, advising clients across the public and private sectors on strategic and operational challenges. After earning my MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, I moved into product management—first at Supernal, Hyundai’s advanced air mobility division, where I helped shape the future of aerospace platforms. Today, I work in product at a defense technology startup, where I’m focused on building tools that directly support national security missions. Along the way, I’ve also supported others through major transitions, whether into top MBA programs or consulting careers, drawing from my own experiences and my work with organizations like Service to School. I'm passionate about mission-focused work and thrive at the intersection of strategy, technology, and leadership.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I believe in the power of transformative opportunities and know how life-changing the right guidance can be. As a military veteran transitioning to business school and then to top-tier consulting, I’ve seen firsthand how mentorship can shape a career. That’s why, since 2018, I’ve dedicated myself to helping others navigate those same high-stakes moments with clarity and confidence. Over the years, I’ve coached hundreds of candidates, both veterans and non-veterans, into leading MBA programs and consulting firms, including McKinsey, Bain, and BCG. My experience includes time at Accenture and McKinsey & Company, where I was a trained interviewer and recruiting lead, giving me deep insight into what firms and programs are really looking for. Through my work with Service to School, I’ve supported many veterans in finding their next mission through education. And as a proud University of Michigan Ross MBA, I bring both empathy and structure to the coaching process. What drives me is seeing my clients succeed, not just getting the offer or acceptance letter, but stepping into the next phase of their journey with confidence. Coaching lets me pay it forward, one breakthrough at a time.
