Carolyn has helped clients get into these companies:
I've worn many different hats as a management consultant, international development leader, and social entrepreneur -- but perhaps the hat that I most identify with is "coach". This has always been true. Growing up, I was the informal "playground monitor" at my elementary school in California - the kid that other kids at recess came to when they needed an empathetic ear or help problem-solving. In high school, I led eight sophomores on an eleven day backpacking trip through Henry Coe State Park and coached youth girls' lacrosse. And, while working at Bain, I mentored first year consultants, helping them navigate the transition to the workplace with confidence. I find that there is nothing as rewarding as being a part of someone's journey of self-discovery. While at Stanford Business School and Harvard Kennedy School I've received formal coaching skills development, spending ~70 hours in coaching practicums and countless more hours engaging with clients on Leland. I know that every client comes to coaching with a unique motivation - a problem they're working through at work, a relationship that they're feeling stuck in, or a question that leads to self-inquiry. I tailor sessions to the needs of the client - these sessions are to help you feel like the best possible version of yourself! Check my calendar to schedule an intro chat and get started -- if you don't see a time that works, just reach out to me directly!

About Carolyn
Growing up, I was the youngest sibling who always wanted a younger sibling to guide and mentor. While that younger sibling never came along, I found other ways to grow my interest in coaching. In high school I led eight sophomores through an eleven day backpacking trip and in college I coached girls' lacrosse. At Bain, while I enjoyed the challenge of cracking the case, what I enjoyed most was developing excel bootcamps for my direct reports and helping them set professional goals. At One Acre Fund, one of the largest social enterprises in East Africa, my favorite project involved launching a professional development program that upskilled 2,500 sales agents. Suffice to say - I'm a people person through and through who is on a mission to help bring out the best in people -- whether that's during a point of transition, in a classroom, in a meeting, or on an athletic field. I'd love to be a part of your journey.
Why do I coach?
Coaches have profoundly shaped how I see myself and have helped me re-examine what my upper bounds are. I've gone further, faster as a result. Through my own coaching experiences I've learned that coaches offer what no one else in your life does. Unlike friends, family members, romantic partners, and colleagues, they are there to listen with undivided attention and without a biased agenda. I've experienced the magic that comes from this and want to pay it forward.
