Deloitte cares deeply about its values – particularly integrity, client service, collaboration, and inclusion. They aren’t looking for candidates who just want to “win” the case or dominate a room. They want people who listen carefully, ask smart clarifying questions, think about the bigger impact of their decisions, and genuinely act as team players. Don’t awkwardly name-drop the values, but make sure the stories you tell reflect these themes. For example, if you're discussing a leadership moment, highlight how you built consensus, considered different perspectives, or prioritized client trust over short-term wins.

In the case interview, be MECE but stay flexible.

Deloitte case interviews are known for favoring a MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) approach to structuring problems. You need to lay out your framework in a clear, organized way, but don’t treat the framework as a script.
